Cottonwood Partners ("Cottonwood"), in partnership with Rockwall Hospitals, Inc. ("Rockwall") and local area physicians, has developed a new 70 bed hospital on the east side of Dallas, Texas. The hospital primarily serves the residents of eastern Dallas, Kaufman, and Ellis Counties and emphasizes inpatient medical services, inpatient/ outpatient elective surgical procedures and diagnostic services. The hospital operations are owned by local physicians and non-physician investors.
The hospital is a general acute care hospital with approximately 117,715 square feet on two floors. The initial phase of the hospital has 53 medical/ surgical beds, 8 intensive care unit ("ICU") beds and 9 post partum/ OBGYN beds. Additionally, the hospital has 8 labor and delivery rooms and 1 c-section room. The hospital is equipped with 6 operating rooms and 2 catheterization lab procedure rooms.
The hospital offers a comprehensive array of services such as medical diagnostic testing and treatments, including a catheterization lab and outpatient surgery utilizing laparoscopy, arthroscopy, endoscopy and other similar services. The Hospital also provides a full range of imaging services, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, RF and X-Ray modalities. In addition to outpatient surgery and services and imaging services, the hospital also serves medical and surgical inpatients and provide accommodations for overnight care. Almost every component of the hospital is designed for expansion.
The hospital is constructed on a tract consisting of approximately 13.2 acres of land ("Hospital Tract") located in Sunnyvale, Texas. The Hospital Tract is located at the intersection of Collins Road and TC Lupton Boulevard. The hospital was designed by Ascension Group Architects and was constructed by Rogers O’Brien Construction Company, both of whom have extensive medical-related experience. This is the same team that worked together on the recently completed Patients Medical Center in Pasadena, Texas developed by Cottonwood.
